PORTFOLIO PREP HONORS:
PREP CAMPUS PROJECT

STEP 1: Photo

In order to draw these buildings in elevation, I first had to take picture of them. These pictures were supposed to best capture the entire building while minimizing the amount of distortion due to the perspective.

STEP 2: Graph Paper Diagram

After trying to get the best picture of each building, I measured the most important features of the buildings (windows, doors, ledges, pillars, etc), and redrew the buildings on graph paper. to do this I had to approximate distances, and I usually rounded to the nearest ¹⁄₁₆ of an inch

STEP 3: Traced Drawing

To finalize this project, I will take the graph paper sketches and trace them using a lightbox. This will enable me to add details outside of the graph paper. While the graph paper sketch is more to establish the different porportions, this stage of the drawing will allow better detail
